Mr Hess and Me
Abstract
It is 1942. Ffion is 15. Her job is to wait on Rudolf Hess, the Nazi leader who has been brought to a hospital in a remote corner of South Wales.This short extract of prose is from an unpublished novel that uses Hess's three-year incarceration during World War II and descent into madness as the backdrop for a coming of age story.
