Highlighting individuality requires tailored prescribing during recovery
Abstract
Reducing psychotropic drugs, namely antidepressants and antipsychotics, is challenging. It is an integral part of recovery if psychotropic drugs were needed during the mental crisis. Individualizing the reduction steps in terms of dose and speed makes reductions easier and more successful, yet the demands on the person remain high and crises in the reduction process or after discontinuation are possible.
